Katie Hoyt was born and raised in Traverse City Michigan. A mom of two teenagers, Grace and Austin, and their dog, Olive Mae. While raising her children, Katie working the service and retail industry, building a robust knowledge of customer service and business relations.

In 2012 Katie entered the real estate industry as a sales representative for a local title company, where she finally became the company’s general manager. During her time in title, Katie became heavily involved in the local real estate board and the local chapter of the Women’s Council of Realtors. In 2020, in the heat of the COVID shut down, Katie made the decision to transition her real estate knowledge and experience towards a career in lending. She quickly obtained her mortgage origination license and began as an assistant, learning the ins and outs of business and maintaining her involvement in the local real estate boards. Now, as a part of the Genisys family, Katie is ready to use her years of knowledge and expertise in the industry, to provide borrowers with a top-notch mortgage experience.

In her personal time, Katie enjoys spending time with her friends and family, working on her mother’s farm, enjoying the beauty that Northern Michigan offers, and volunteering at her church.
